Yes, I have to agree you are looking really svelte these days, Mav! Sorry about the shoulder. Nice work, buddy.

Squat looks good to me:

Not happy with training and the like lately, but I'm putting up a total as a starting point.  I need to get going, and have been awful at pushing myself.

As of this post the videos are still processing.

Body weight: 258 lbs

Squat:  395 lbs (103.6 Wilks)

Bench: 235 (61.7 Wilks)

DL: 425 (111.5 Wilks)

Total: 1055 (276.8 Wilks)

Here's my twofer entry.  I've just restarted light benching due to a shoulder injury so no entry for that.

I did the 495lbs dead below and then could not get 545lbs past my knees.  I was doing the 545 deadlift 23 minutes after the 475 squat so my back probably wasn't sufficiently recovered.  I was hoping to get into to the gym yesterday or today to submit a better dead by the deadline but too much family stuff this holiday weekend.

Body Weight 203lbs

Squat 475lbs

Dead 495lbs

Wilks 277.72

Here are my entries. No excuses, it is what it is ;) Hopefully a baseline for future progress...

110kg and 107.5kg from the same session.

Squat 117.5kg/259.04lbs

Here are my lifts @ a bodyweight of 86kg

Apologies for the poor video quality on squats & bench, had to use my phone.

Should have worn something tighter and brighter for squats to make depth assessment easier. Oh well.

http://youtu.be/_rnWCkjSYaU

http://youtu.be/0tBE_G7ICCk

Deadlift was a PR.

Bench wasn't great. (grindy).

Squat was okish as I haven't squatted with a standard bar for 6 months (shoulder impingement).

PS. Not sure of the legality of any my lifts.

Good job to everyone who entered this year!

I'll tally up the results later this evening (EST) and reopen the topic for discussion once the results are tallied.

I have the official results, but first I have to say this was one of the most well participated IS events.  I definitely will want to hear back how we can improve for next year.

Top 3 Single Lifts:

Squat Bench Press Deadlift Overhead Anyhow
Steve SKing SKing SKing
SKing litlesimongeorge fudley fudley
RonB fudley Steve MathiahM

Top 3 Two-fer (2 lift wilks total)

  • SKing
  • Steve
  • fudley

Top 3 Total (3 lift wilks total)

  • SKing
  • fudley
  • littlesimongeorge

Top 3 Absolute Best (4 lift wilks total)

  • SKing
  • fudley
  • wolfman

Top 3 Beat Unleashed (Total weight lifted)

  • SKing
  • littlesimongeorge
  • fudley

(source data)

Congratulations to everyone.  SKing dominated this competition, and a big part of that was the fact he peaked for a meet and his lifts for that counted for this competition.  However, Steve won on the squat.  Fudley put up a good showing getting second or third in multiple events.

We had 15 members participate, which made for a pretty fun competition.

Well done everyone and thanks Mav for working it all out.

Great to see a decent number of members taking part this time, having the comp open for the whole month was a big plus point.

To make it more competitive next year can we ban Sking :)

Thanks for the good turnout, everybody!

The only lift I entered from my meet was the deadlift, but Steve, if you had at least just pulled 525, I'm sure you would have had me on the 2-fer. 495 was just a warmup, my man..

Great job everyone.  The turnout this time for the comp was awesome...

Thanks Maverick for running this and tallying the results so quick.

@Sking-  Congrats!  On the dead, my back was fried a bit after squatting. It was Thanksgiving morning and the gym was busy (busiest day of the year).  There were a lot of college kids home for the holidays that like to use the racks.  I was hogging one of the two racks so I didn't rest before deads.

Very nice total you put up.

Thanks man. I know you're the stronger guy though. I hope to catch up some day. Your deadlift blows me away. Was that squat a PR, or is your profile just out of date?

EDIT: nevermind, I see it's a 10 pound PR. Congrats!
