Pretty Strong

Recommended Posts

Verry impressive, though the '40 kg kettlebell no problem' girl should try doing full swings to chest height or move to a lighter 'bell. Belt buckle height swings are pretty meh

Allison McWeeny is my new hero. I am not too sure I could keep my balance to do a one legged deadlift. I read up on her and this was done not too long after she had lost her leg. Just a tremendous amount of mental spirit, we could all gain something from her.

I've been planning to go to SSPT ever since I met Gary at a USAPL meet earlier this year.

You've got to go! It is the best gym in the DC area. I think I've mentioned this to you before at SL.

When are you competing again? I'm going to be at the 100% RAW Virginia State & Christmas Classic on 10 Dec.

That SSPT gym looks great, but dang it's so far away... If only I can find one like it on my side of the Potomac.

Not sure where you are in VA, but it's worth a Saturday morning drive and the $10 drop-in fee.

It requires a beltway drive for me, and would add another 2 hours commute time (round trip) to my longest training day of the week. That's one of the reasons I had to stop learning sword martial arts--it was just too much time in my already overloaded schedule.
