Huge thanks to Johnr for his online entry form for you to record all your lifts

The topic itself will open on the 10th November, until then it's locked as just a heads up so we can get more entries by giving time for you to plan it in and not disrupt your training too much

So far my fellow mod Steve (sking) has won all 4 comps - can this be the year someone topples him?
Good luck everyone!

Post Videos in this thread between November 10 and November 16!

Me! I'll submit my lifts on the 16th, that's when I'll do the deadlifts. Nice that you organized this again!

It's my 531 3 week and not 1 week but I'll give this a go.

I wanted to do the comp last time (May 2013) but I wasn't benching due to my shoulder.  The comp in Nov 2012, my low back was bothering me and I wasn't squatting.   :)

I did my AMRAP 415 set before this single.  I have slowly rebuilt my squat after the above mentioned low back issues late last year so I didn't want to be too aggressive.  For this single, I added 10lbs over the AMRAP (split the difference between my 415 "3" weight and 435 "1" weight next week) for a happy medium.

On Friday, I'll probably just use my 3 weight for the bench entry since my left shoulder has felt weaker the last week.

On Saturday, Deads I might be more aggressive with a single since I recently deloaded that lift 10%.

I'll upload both videos Saturday.

Weight was 205.8 this morning.

Go Steve!

LOL. I guess the same could be said if I squatted the empty bar.  :)

I put in my heaviest BW of the days I did the lifts, thought that was the most fair thing I could do.

Squat 155 kg, BP 115 kg and DL 205 kg. Bodyweight 81,4 kg.

Nice job Heino.  Great speed on those lifts

Bench  3x280

Deads

I had a great day this morning doing deads.  I just went for it in the AMRAP set instead of just doing the 3 minimum and then a heavier single.  You don't get these days often and I'd rather go all out in the programmed set.

I was lifting with a young guy for the first time and he used two bumpers per side. After my fifth rep, the collars snapped off and 10lbs came off each side.  That has never happened before using one bumper per side.  I was out of breath after the set and was trying to say "its the second bumper on each side but couldn't get it out".  It's not easy having a conversation after a heavy set like that. :)

7x535lbs (515 on last two reps)

Squat 425lbs

Bench 280lbs

Deads 535lbs

Total 1240lbs

Weight was 205.8 earlier in the week and 206.4 today...so 206.4 it is.

With two lifters this competition, both put in some good lifts.  Scoring is done by Wilks, so the winner of this competition is:

  • Steve: Wilks score 352.22

Place-Name----------------------Date-----Sex---Age-----BW-----Squat----Bench-----Dead----Total----Wilks▼
---1--steve-----------------16 Nov 2013---m-----43----93.6----192.8----127.0----242.7----562.5----352.22
---2--Heino-----------------16 Nov 2013---m-----28----81.4----155.0----115.0----205.0----475.0----320.80

Heino's effort wasn't too shabby either, coming in at 320.80.

Congratulations guys!

I'm sorry I missed the deadline on this one.
