Saying Hi And Looking For A View On My Progress.

Hi All,

Just signed up :)

I am 49 years old male 5' 8' weight 81Kg and bf around 15% and have been on SL for 7 weeks with the following progress:-

(NB: I was 115Kg weight but lost about 40Kgs through cardio and diet over last year now doing SL).

Progress:-

Squat 92.5Kg

Bench Press 77Kg

OHP 45Kg

Deadlift 120Kg

ROW 75Kg

I am beginning to fail on OHP and Bench, ROW form starting to suffer also.

Just looking for feedback on progress and if I am on the right track as I train alone and local fitness centre.

Getting to the point of failure is all part of the program. Just follow the failure protocols and you should be good.

It's tough to judge the row sometimes since form can fall apart but you can still make the lift.

Welcome to IS, Gary.:) Looks like you've been making great progress on SL. As michail said, just stick with the program until you can't progress anymore. It's been a while since I did StrongLifts, but as I recall you try 3x to get your 5x5, then you deload if you can't get it. Feel free to start a training log here if you'd like more support and feedback.

Welcome aboard Gary. 40 kg loss is tremendous, and good to start on SL.

Some nice progress made in 7 weeks' time - 1XBW bench is great.
