Meet Miriam, My New Deadlift Hero.

Recommended Posts

She is 53 years old and weighs 125 lbs. If she can do this, so can I. Damn it.

Impressive, though if she weighs 125 she is obviously much shorter than you, with better leverages.

Still, you deff can do it

I think arm length is more important than height. But my arms appear to be proportionally longer than hers, which means I have absolutely no excuse for not DLing nearly 2x my bodyweight for a set of five. Thankfully, I have ten more years to get there. :)

taller people are supposed to be better at dl's though

no, taller people, given proportionate arm length, etc., have to move the bar farther. a shorter ROM is always an advantage

Is this where we claim steroids? Or simply photoshop? Solid lift BTW.

Those women are awesome. The Granny pic looks odd...I am gonna bet it's been shopped though I'd love if it was real!

Those are Hi-Temp bumper plates. It's still a sweet lift but it's only ~150 or so. Looks like a pair of 25s and 3 pairs of 10s.

I'm going to zombie this thread. I just came across it. I'm sure I saw it when it was originally posted, but that was before I knew Miriam or lifted there at Asheville Strength. Good times. <3
