  1. Badass pic! Awesome job man.
  2. My form check links should be fixed for those who care.

  3. My mom isn't letting me go to the gym because of a "storm warning" and I have to go babysitting in a few hours. Bull crap.

It sucks man. My last workout of the week too!

    3. idle

      Squat the kids!

    4. Vegox

It's kinda sad.. they're heavier than me and younger lol. I'd probably get a good workout.

  4. How does over-under grip on a deadlift without chalk compare to just using chalk with overhand when it comes to grip strength? I just switched grips today.

    1. AdamW

Mixed grip will be way stronger even without chalk.

    2. Vegox

So then it's advised to use the mixed grip? Thanks :-)

  5. How much of a difference would it be if I did three sets of five on rows instead of five? I find that after three I can't continue with proper form.

How much weight are you doing and how long have you been training that lift?

    3. Vegox

Well, it's not of much importance now because I just deloaded to 90lbs. I plan on just sticking with 5x5 until I can go no more.

    4. Maslow

Good idea. Just remember that rows are an assistance exercise. Improving your strength on them should help your deadlift and bench press, not interfere with them. So if that means only doing 3 sets so be it.

  6. Changing up my long-term goals. Screw losing weight right now. I only care about one thing: Strength. Watching numbers go up is much more rewarding to me than numbers going down on a scale.

Rob's taken the Morpheus pill to get that knowledge (and attitude)

    3. Vegox

I'm just changing my focus from weight loss to strength gain, I'm sure I can do both!

    4. Maslow

Stronger people are generally harder to kill and more useful.

  7. B-b-b-baby you just ain't seen nothin' yet.

  8. Would someone please check out my log? I'm in need of some assistance. Thanks in advance :-)

  9. Pretty Cool Visual Of How Sl Works

Touche lol. But it also doesn't mention this amazing forum!!
  10. http://visual.ly/stronglifts-5x5 It's basically a poster of how the Stronglifts program works. I thought it would be interesting to share here and if there are any beginners who want a brief overview of the program this would be perfect to show them. I take no credit for this image whatsoever I just found it!
  11. Yeah, no problem! I've found that rippedrecipes is better to find foods than meal planning because some of their meal plans are very similar. But if you find some good recipes you can easily form your own meal plan.
  12. Some people call me the space cowboy...

    1. FerrousMaverick

and some people the gangster of love. And some people call me maurice.

    2. CarlHmS

You did two, Mav; that's cheating.

    3. Vegox

It's okay, he speaks of the pompatus of love.

  13. I searched around to see if this topic was brought up and I noticed someone mentioned the website swole.me a while back. They're newly updated and operate under http://www.eatthismuch.com/. I believe this website could be pretty useful to people. To use the meal planner is free, but to get weekly grocery lists and get the full website is a monthly fee (I think around $10). There's many pre-set meals and you have the ability to add your own recipes. There's also many settings you can play around with on the site, including changing your diet to paleo, keto, vegetarian, or even getting rid of any foods you just don't like. You can set your macros and calories right from the planner. It would be cool to check out. If you're not into paying for your meal planner, I have another option. http://www.rippedrecipes.com/ Is much like the other site in the fact you can set your macros and meal preferences (paleo, keto, vegetarian). I actually prefer this over the other planner not just because it's free, but because the whole site is based off of other people's recipes. It's not just simple meals, but fun recipes, some including protein shakes and healthy deserts. If you have any good recipes you want to share, this is the place to do it. There's also a place to sign up for an email newsletter when more popular recipes show up. They're working on an addon called ripped resturants that allows you to put in your calories and macros and it finds resturants near you that fit those needs. Overall, http://www.eatthismuch.com/ has a much cleaner interface, but http://www.rippedrecipes.com/ is free. Whatever you choose, be sure to tell me how you like them! I'm going to be using them a lot more soon, once I get a job and start making some money. Happy feasting, Vegox
